This piece was inspired by the lovely new Arthur J. Ravenel Jr. Bridge in Charleston, S.C. The view is as seen from Patriots Point and Ursa Major, with the star pattern, The Big Dipper, visible over the bridge positioned as it would be around 10:00 p.m in the month of October. If you look closely you can see a portion of the original Grace bridge before they finished blasting it. A Black-crowned Night Heron stands silently in the foreground.
