Breathtaking views of the night sky are a typical feature of clear nights in African wilderness areas. Featured here is Crux, the Southern Cross, due south and upright in the sky as seen on my recent travels to Kenya. Other constellations visible are a portion of Centaurus, Musca, Circinus, Triangulum Australe, Apus, a portion of Carina, a portion of Volans, Chamaeleon, a portion of Pavo, Octans, Mensa and a portion of Hydrus.
