These pieces range from scribbles
at the age of 2 1/2 - 3 1/2, to some of my elementary school
crayon drawings in the early 1970s to sketches from my high school
weekly grade nine sketch book at the age of 14 in 1977. All are
NFS.
Credit goes to my Mom for preserving
these childhood drawings. Much to my chagrin, she retrieved them
many times from the garbage cans where I discarded them. I am
still a notorious purger, and several of the finished studio
paintings on this website also almost landed in my studio garbage
can. Fortunately my husband Brad has the same tenacious spirit
as my Mom did, and with his encouragement I resisted the urge
to give up on certain pieces and am satisfied enough with the
results to share them here with viewers. I hope you will enjoy
joining me on this visual journey beginning with these childhood
drawings. As you work your way through my various on line "galleries"
the journey continues with groupings of paintings inspired by
a variety of subject matter ranging from my traditional Christian
hymn series, my starscape constellation series and various expeditions
I have been blessed to go on since I began painting professionally
in 2001 to paintings inspired here at home in my own backyard
of rural Lakefield, Ontario.
